“Twenty Days to Carnaval”, says the beer can!

That’s right! And who says that is a beer can… What?!

Wait… it’s a bit more than a gigantic beer can on the side of the road… it’s a traffic engineering device… hiding not one, but two traffic-monitoring camera… very clever! 😮

A very “shy” pair of cameras silently watch and monitor the street traffic…

  1. What a surprise… a gigantic beer can that not only is telling the days till carnival but also is very observing as it seems 🙂 Great idea!

By the way, only 20 days to carnival and I still haven’t decided which costume I’m going to wear this year 😮

    1. Maybe that’s their idea.. as you can tell, you’re coming to a curve, and there has been an accident there, before, some sort of bump/hit, along the fence… Who knows, maybe a way to have drivers slow down before the curve… and if they don’t, one of the traffic cameras is sure to catch them speeding! 😮 Thanks for “stopping by”, Gilly! 😮

  2. Hmmm. And what are the drink and drive regulations there? I have to admit, it is a good way to make traffic monitoring cameras more attractive, but does this not send out some subliminal message? 🙂

    1. There’s now drinking & Driving permit, over here… it’s actually totally forbidden… That’s the idea… if you pay close attention, you’ll notice that there had been a hit on the side of the road (look at the bent fence, separating the two sides), nothing major… The idea is to call for the driver’s attention regarding that… And the cameras are monitoring exactly that: the use of cell phones while driving, speeding limits, cars swinging along the street… Maybe it could be seen as sending a not-correct message, but it was extremely effecting catching people’s attention regarding the no-drinking-and-driving rule… 😮 Thanks for “stopping by”:o and leaving your impressions!
