Hello!
3rd Culture Children is the channel I found to voice my impressions and feelings about life, friends, jobs, travels, all wrapped up by our duties with the Foreign Service.
We are a family of 5, 3 being children under 7 years of age, living and working around the world. And I write about that. My impressions as a mother, former “geeky stuff” scientist, researcher, partner and household queen! 😮
You will find here our experiences, challenges and victories. Our impressions as foreigners, spouses, parents, travellers!

Hi! We have recently launch an app that describes all National Park of Latin America, and we are adding images of each park. In this particulary case we find that the best pictures of Cotapata Park are here. So we want to ask you if we can use them to show the Park and of course naming you as the real author of those pictures. The app is totally free so we are not using them for commercial purpose. If you want to see more, you can find us in https://www.facebook.com/latinoamericasalvajeapp/

I’m delighted I came across your site and was wondering if you or any of your readers can give me some advice about recruitment in Bolivia. I’m working for a company that is looking to expand into La Paz and was wondering if anyone had any advice on the best places to advertise locally. We are looking for English speaking business managers so any advice would be greatly appreciated. We’ve advertised on Linkedin and Monster.com but haven’t had much luck attracting the right applicants.

Dear 3rd Culture Children,
My name is Joyce and I work for ExpatFinder.com.
ExpatFinder.com is a free one stop website for people preparing to move or working and living overseas. We provide a myriad of services for expatriates and we have over 2,000 articles to help and support the people moving around the world and we are now creating an interview section to help the expats with real life experiences!
We quite enjoy your blog about living in Bolívia, it is very interesting and informative. Would it be possible to interview you to further share some of your tips and feature some of your first hand experience as an Expat and your interview will be published on our Expat Interview section as a guide for our expat readers. The questions are mainly about the day to day lifestyle of an expat. If it would be possible, could you also send some photographs that we can use?
Of course, if you accept, we can add a link to your blog or some of your website.
The questions are enclosed, feel free to respond freely. You can return the doc with your answers if you accept this invitation.
Thanks in advance and do let me know if you prefer other means to conduct this interview and we would be happy to accommodate your terms.
Best regards,
Joyce

Dear Raquel,
I am the producer of a documentary that will look at the effects of climate change on an indigenous population in the Bolivian Andes, the Kallawayas. The reason we are interested in their story is because we believe that indigenous communities, like the Kallawayas, are crucial in aiding our understanding of sustainability. Their extensive knowledge of the environment and their unique perspectives are critical in broadening a global understanding, and we think this should be shared.
Filming will take place throughout June and July, and we have just launched our Kickstarter campaign in order to fund the documentary. We have received a lot of support, which is great, however we still need a lot more people to get involved.
Here is the link:
I really enjoy your blog and find all your photos so fab! And I don’t know whether sharing our project on your blog would be something you would consider doing… We would really appreciate it 🙂
I know this could be a lot to ask, but we really think that so much can be learnt from the Kallawayas and indigenous peoples in general and we really want to tell their story and change the way we all view climate change and that’s why we are so passionate about this project.
I would really appreciate your support. Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Alice Rowsome

Hi guys,
I found your blog on Expat Blog where my wife and I also list our expat blog, http://theviewdownunder.blogspot.com.
About a year and a half ago we moved from New York to Sydney and had a difficult time finding a reputable international mover. Because of our experience, we started GoodMigrations (http://GoodMigrationsHelps.com) as a free resource for people to rate their international moving company so others can make an informed decision.
We’re just starting out, so I’m reaching out to fellow expats to ask them to review their moving experiences on the site. If you used a mover en route to Brazil (or will use one to Bolivia) and could take 60 seconds to rate your experience (or even mention the site on your blog to spread the word to others), I would be grateful for your help!
Many thanks,
Adam

Wow, sounds like you have an amazing life! Thanks for following my blog. I’d love to visit Brazil some day, it sounds beautiful and fascinating. I was in Bolivia 10 years ago and went down a silver mine, which I mentioned in a recent post. http://scribblerinseville.com/2012/03/25/7-super-shots/ You might be interested. It’s great reading about other expat families, to get a glimpse of how they deal with the multi-lingual/cultural issues.

I have been nominated the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.
WOW, that came out of the blue.
Is great to know that my doodles inspire others. I hope I won’t disappoint you.
The Award comes with these rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you
Thank you Annette for the nomination you were the first blog I started following.
2. Share 7 things about yourself
-I am addicted to coffee
-My favorite cars were made in the 1970’s
-I am an actor and director, studied photography, video production, graphic design and a little bit of anthropology.
-I have had 5 pretty serious motorcycle accidents and came out walking and without a scratch.
-I am from Costa Rica
-When I hear a song I like, I listen to it when I need inspiration.
-Orange is my favorite color.
3. Pass the award to 7 nominees
So, “tagged” you are it.
Since I am new at this, you have probably been nominated before, in that event, double the blessing.

Great to take a look at your blog through another blog where we were both featured! I’m a TCK and raised TCK’s in Cairo and Islamabad, Pakistan until we came to the U.S. The identity piece is a huge one and one I never grow tired of contemplating. I wish I had the medium of blogging while raising my kids overseas as there is something about that process that is tremendously cathartic. I look forward to reading more! here are a couple posts that may resonate:

Saw your comment on another blog and so I opened yours. I will try to keep up with your adventures-sounds fun (although lots of little kids is work no matter where you are).

Raquel, everything about your blog reflects a heart that rejoices and takes life in with great gusto! The pictures of your kids, you and your husband, and your family adventures are filled with joy and color and remind me of days gone by (when mine were little and life was crazy busy and filled to the brim with the demands little ones put on us as moms). Just a couple of weeks ago my fifth child entered the world of adulthood (by age anyway) with the last one close on his heels, trust me when I say it comes like the blink of an eye. It is good to see that you are enjoying this time, making the most of the present moment!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by This Perfect World and follow the blog. I hope you find something that refreshes your soul and adds to your joy and love of life!
