Art galleries in La Paz have been springing up like cactus flowers after the rains.
Many are within an easy walk from one another. Is there a better way for getting to know the beauties (and resources) this colorful city offers?
Now, that I’m comfortable enough to walk around the city, I’ve begun a series of posts about art in the city, this one being the result of an afternoon visit to a current Art Exhibit at the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo ‘Plaza’, in La Paz. Oh, the temporary advantages of being a ‘stay-home-mom’! ♥

Thanks, Gilly! I actually went to the Museum before we headed out to Lake Titicaca and Copacabana. Had the images saved, and used one of them for this past week’s photo challenge, intitled ‘Beyond’- there’s a very strong painting, the face of a boy, here, which was my inspiration for that particular post, and so far, it has generated a lot of feedback on its power and sadness… Regarding the trip to the Lake and visits to the Copacabana Calvary [Virgin of Copacabana], and Isla del Sol, they’ll come as later posts… I do need to sit down and work on the posts. 😮 Thank you so much for taking time to come over and share your opinion… nice as usual! Hey! it’s always good to have “a name behind the email”, right? 😮 Now you’ve got it! :p And I know the image is sad… the images from the visit to the Lake [Titicaca] are slowly coming out… the first ‘post of the series’ is a happy one, very heartfelt [in my opinion!], because it portraits the beauty throughout its people… hope you like it!
