Exploring one of the largest coral reefs in the world: Carneiros Beach, Pernambuco, Brazil

Waving along the Southern Coast of Pernambuco, Carneiros Beach (“Praia dos Carneiros”) discreetly possesses all the requirements to become a paradise. Sea of calm and crystal clear waters in shades of blue, palm trees, coral reefs and even a river that ends into the ocean.

Rustic bungalows have been built and decorated to meet the needs of comfort, and privacy, so tourists, or vacationing families may enjoy the peaceful setting that reigns in this paradise, still respecting the environment, its unique features and learning about preservation and ecological conscience. [The ‘talk’ about the beach’s intriguing bungalows is reserved for a ‘soon-to-come‘ post!]

bidding farewell...

    1. Cassie, thank you for your kind words… It’s always Summer over here… I guess it never ends… and it makes it a bit harder to go back to normal routine, school, daily work duties, when one’s got this time of weather all-year-round… 😮 I’m glad our images were able to offer you a feeling of coziness… Cheers!

    1. Gilly – that’s the idea… not to have a lot of tourists, and keeping the beachfront clean and peaceful… It’s not very easy to access the beach/coral reefs, which is actually, a great advantage for the environment. As a biologist myself, you imagine my appreciation and thankfulness for this type of reality… Truly, a paradise, as you said… Thank you for taking time to come by and leave your usual nice comments – much appreciated! 😮

    1. Thank you very much, Angeline! We’re trying to do as much as we can (regarding traveling) with the little time we’ve got left at our current post in Brazil, before heading out to our new adventure, the mystic country of Bolívia.. Let’s see what’s waiting for us… in the meantime, I’ll keep sharing these beautiful images from colorful & lively Brazil, and getting amazing feedback, like yours! 😮 It’s definitely great to have the opportunity to build a good network among other bloggers/travelers/expats… Greetings from our warm beachfront! 😮
