What is that, hiding behind the lamp?
Just a hint: it’ll keep us warm and happy, through the next 2 years!
Okay… I’ve already shared our joy in knowing we’ll have a separate place for the kids to eat… no more mess in the living room! Now, carefully looking through the photos from our future place, we discovered… we’ll have a fireplace! 
Again, pretty silly… why being happy with a fireplace? Because we currently don’t have one.
This is not a bad thing, don’t get me wrong, and we’re pretty grateful for our life here, especially the beachfront… but the thought of having a fireplace, is just great, it will remind us from our first home, back in DC! And, because, our future post seems to be a bit on the chilly side, with average temperature of 64 F (18 Celsius)… At least, for me, it’s cold… I’ve forgotten how the Winter is… We’re living in Brazil, for crying out loud!

When we first started looking for a house one of my requirements was a fireplace.
Well, I traded a finished basement for a fireplace but I swear – my next house (which I’m hoping we’ll build someday) will have one!!

There’s nothing better than snuggling up by the fire to get warm after a night time swim maybe hey?
