Trading the city apartment for a beach bungalow: the 24-hour escapade

12 Sep

Living in the city is great, intense and full of opportunities. Escaping from the city is even better: finding your true self by the beach, enjoying some quality time away from the urban craziness, is priceless!

Another regular weekend was approaching us…

Spend time with our kids, grocery shopping, the usual… Suddenly, we learnt the grandparents were coming for a short visit. Hummm… quickly we put together a master plan to “escape” for a little while from our “parenting duties” - leaving them to the grandparents. It worked beautifully:

  1. Responsible adults to watch over the kids: check.
  2. Enough food in the fridge: check.
  3. Last minute reservation for the beach resort, at an unbelievably affordable rate: check.
  4. Car keys, camera, tossed clothes into a single backpack: check, check, check

(Gotta hurry – the “substitute adults” only granted us a day away from our offspring!) :o

And off we went!
breathe in and enjoy…
private pool
reading corner by the poolside

from our "porch"... :o

thematic reading lounge

relaxing?

maybe, he's worrying about the kids back home?

definitely relaxed!

    I love that pool! I wouldn’t mind having a private pool for a day.
